Beaches and Parks

Published by stephanie202 at 4:51 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

With the weather warming up in the Madawaska Valley, thoughts turn to lazy afternoons lying on beaches and picnic lunches in picturesque parks. There are so many great places to take time off and relax in, too, for all ages and preferences.
Foy Beach in Foy National Park is a beautiful sandy beach screened off from the road by several hundred feet of woods. Located on Red Rock Road near Round Lake Centre, there are some that would argue it’s the best beach in the area.
Combermere has several places to swim, play, or just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Dubbed “Playground of the Madawaska River”, and with it’s own boat dock, beach, and plenty of parks to sit in, it’s a wonderful place to visit.
Eganville’s beautiful parks offer spectacular views of the town and the river dam and waterfalls. The town itself has a unique structure; it’s located on a steep river bank which gives it a tiered look. Coupled with the thousands of trees make it a wonderful place to walk around in.
Those are just a few of the many treasures the Madawaska Valley has.
